R120s Rail Fire Safety MASTER – smart
The fire control panel has a modular structure and is designed to control the whole detection and control system, which consists of several slave controllers (eg. R125, several R127) and it is supplied with Ethernet connectivity to be able to communicate with TCMS or other third-party systems.
The fire control panel offers interfaces for configuration directly from a PC / laptop and via a remote maintenance/diagnosis and control. The control unit is provided with LEDs for showing the status information (operation/fault/alarm).
Additionally, also 3 potential free contacts (e.g. for transmitting alarm and fault signal to TCMS) and an 8 channel input/output card is included. The functionality of the configurable inputs and outputs is similar to the version in the R127 Rail Fire Safety Input/Output Module as described hereinafter.
The central R120s Rail Fire Safety MASTER – smart monitors and controls loop and input/output modules via Ethernet protocol, using a redundant ring topology (Cat5 4-pole), which is made possible by the managed switch with turbo ring and turbo chain support, in order to meet requirements up to SIL 2.
The loop module in turn monitors and controls the detector loop (2x 0.75mm2 shielded FE180) to which the detectors and signaling devices are connected.
R125 Rail Fire Safety Loop Module
The R125 Rail Fire Safety Loop Module is controlled and monitored by the R120s Rail Fire Safety System Controller.
The permanent data transfer between this module and up to 126 ring-bus components ensures that the fire control panel can monitor each measured value. The data exchange on the ring line occurs in both directions, so that full function is guaranteed in case of physical interruption of the ring. The segment-wise protection against short-circuits in one ring occurs via integrated short-circuit isolators, which are integrated in the connection sockets of the detectors and signaling devices. Via software configuration the components on the ring lines with addresses 1-126 and be assigned to any detector groups.
R127 Rail Fire Safety Input/Output Module (8 channel)
The R127 Rail Fire Safety Input/Output Module is controlled and monitored by the R120s Rail Fire Safety System Controller.
The input/output module has 8 independent channels for monitoring and controlling peripheral devices from the field of firefighting systems and fire extinguishing systems or to transmit signals to third party systems (e.g. alarm, fault signal to TCMS). Potential-free contacts, standard signals for pressure or temperature sensors (0-10V, 0-20 mA) or temperature sensors (PT100/PT500/PT1000) with continuous line control (short circuit, wire break) can be monitored and evaluated. On the output side, extinguishing valves, section valves, heating actuators, aerosol generators etc. can be controlled up to 3A/24 V DC per channel.
