Technical Specifications

The fire detection- and control system in general is a system with central algorithm-controlled intelligence used for evaluation of fire alarm conditions and control of firefighting/extinguishing equipment, as well as for communication with the vehicle control system.

The fire detection system is an autonomous and automatic system that will detect a fire based on smoke level or heat within the specified time period by using different sensors. For the passenger / luggage area multisensor point-detectors can be used, while within the isolated electrical compartments, the system can be based on smoke/heat detection only where applicable and in any other cases with a linear heat detection cable (LHD), which is permanently activated when a certain temperature occurs, and the two wires will short-circuit at any position of the LHD wire.

For multi-part train sets, where’re also re-arrangement should be possible, maximum flexibility can be achieved by master/slave operation.
